Love the chord progression on this one. What song is it a remake of?

This is fantastic, the song structure is great! l love how it comes all together and has a great payoff at 3:12, really gets you into the song, and the chord progression throughout is great!

I would love to hear the arpeggio in that end section have a more interesting line rather than just the traditional up/down thing going on, you could go all over the place with it. Also, I think your drums are too low in the mix, but you already said its not mixed or mastered and that you are going to switch them out so best not to nitpick on that!

Reminds me of a Pokemon track for a ghost tower or something in the beginning! I'm also digging the triplet part in the melody.

Personal preference, but I would want it to be 100% 8-bit sounding rather than having the drums and the non 8-bit melody that comes in at 1:27.

Nailed the creepy vibe though with all that dissonance!

The bass and intro sounds like a track from Super Mario RPG to me! It reminds me of a funky jungle level.

I'm getting the mysterious feeling a little bit, but it feels a little more cartoonish and bouncy than I was expecting to hear based on your description. I think a lot of that comes form the feel and sound of the bass line.

Either way, I loved it!

I've showed it to a couple of friends and they all agree that this feels foresty/jungly, but they all had different views of it. I love it so much to be able to convey different feelings like that.

I think it wouldn't hurt to add even more creative panning choices to some of the elements for even more depth!

Thanks! Yep panning is still something I'm struggling with. Everytime I touch a pan knob I'm like "nope, this was better before, forget it" and just give up aha
But yeah thats something I'll have to work on eventually

[What you need]

the gated noises sound great (kind of reminds me of Sub Focus's song Tidal Wave) not a huge fan of the piano that comes in around 58 seconds, but the drums sound nice, and the loop is great!

Yeah, at first I got the overall tone, then I felt like it was a little too insubstantial, so I started haphazardly throwing things into it like the piano and Tabla. I do see where the piano could detract a bit, it's kind of sudden, sharp and out of place.

This is great! Very halloween-like and fun to listen to! Sometimes it got a little clogged, like a bunch of melodies were trying to overpower other melodies, but other than that it was great! Quick question, how long did you spend making this, and what programs do you use?

Thanks for the review man! :) Glad you thought it was fun to listen to! I tried to incorporate as many melodies as possible without it sounding too crowded but I can see what you mean by 'overpowering'. I made this one with FL Studio 9. As for how long I spent on it...boy that's a tricky one. I often get lost in time when I'm making songs and I don't usually record how long it takes me to make one (I'm a little bit too free-spirited in that sense) but I would say it took me around 6-8 hours to make. Again, thanks for listening I really appreciate it!
